If you’re looking for another jellyfish recipe, this is the one for you. I have another jellyfish recipe that would stir your taste buds. This specific dish is called the Chinese Jellyfish Salad.

This one is different from any other dish because you would have to work with marinated, dried jellyfish and a savory sauce that is not usually seen in any restaurants. Aside from this, it has the following characteristics which separate it from other dishes entirely. These are as follows.

• Slightly sour
• Savory
• It should also have a hint of sesame oil for the aftertaste.
• This salad should also have chewy jellyfish strips

You will be glad to know that the ingredients for the jellyfish are readily available in your local supermarket. Some supermarkets already sell Ready-to-mix packs so you do not have to spend a lot of time preparing it. Here is what you can find inside the packs.

• 500 grams of prepared and dried jellyfish
• Julienne vegetables: carrots, cucumbers and leeks
• Savory-spicy mustard sauce
• Two Kinds of Available Market Jellyfish
• Whole, dried sheets
• Pre-sliced

According to some experts, the best jellyfish that you can get is the former. If you are getting the former option, make sure it is dry to touch.

Preparation


Here are the steps that you can take to prepare the jellyfish.
First, you should roll the sheets into tight rolls and cut them into pieces of half a centimeter.
They should be as large as fettuccine pasta. After this, you can now get rid of the salt from the jellyfish.

Preparing the Jellyfish for the Salad


The jellyfish would need to be blanched several times in boiling water. Alternate this process with dipping them in cold water.
After this, you should boil a pot of water and with the use of a strainer, put the jellyfish strands into the boiling water. While doing this, you should wash the jellyfish under running water to dissolve the excess salt. At the end, you should now put the jellyfish in another pot of hot water.
