Jellyfish salad is a fantastic side dish to serve with any main course dinner at home, at a fancy dinner or even a restaurant party dinner. Jellyfish salad is a cold dish and is easily prepared. Dried jellyfish can be found in any Chinese market. For the recipe, let us take a look at the required ingredients and the preparation directions required in order to make a tasty jellyfish salad side dish. Keep in mind that the following recipe has the yield of one serving.

The ingredients of a jellyfish salad are numerous. You will need 125 g, or also known as four ounces, of salted jellyfish. You will need 1 large cucumber. You will need salt. You will need half a cup of peeled cooked prawns. You will need 125 g of roasted chicken. You will need two tablespoons of vegetable or peanut oil. You will need 1 onion finely chopped. You will need black pepper and salt. You will need one tablespoon of fish sauce and two tablespoons of pickled carrot. Finally, you will need two tablespoons of chopped roasted peanuts.

Now that you are well equipped with the ingredients. Be sure to soak jellyfish in hot water for about two hours, in addition to that make sure you change the water twice. After that, drain the jellyfish and cut them into small thin strips. Now peel your cucumber and cut them lengthwise into strips. Place both jellyfish and cucumber into a dish with one teaspoon added and leave it for ten minutes. After ten minutes, drain the jellyfish and cucumber. Now, next, shred the chicken and saute it with the prawns in oil while simultaneously adding onion and fish sauce. Next, add the jellyfish into the drying pan as well. Finally, remove the pan and mix all ingredients together and add roasted peanuts. Enjoy!
