Georgia Aquarium Jellyfish


The Georgia Aquarium in Atlanta is considered to be the largest aquarium in the world. It houses more than a hundred thousand aquatic creatures, of about 500 types of species. There are marine creatures as well as various freshwater species. The sprawling aquarium has five massive galleries that display the aquatic world. There is the Tropical Diver, Ocean Voyager, Georgia Explorer, River Scout and Cold water quest. These galleries categorise the aquatic creatures in accordance to the environment that they are found naturally.

Georgia Aquarium jellyfish can be found in the Tropical Diver gallery. This gallery has an amazing variety of weird and colorful life forms, found in the tropical coral reefs of the world. The center of attraction is a live coral reef with hundreds of different fishes and a wave effect taking place above. You will also find seahorses, yellow head jawfish and fairy bassets, among other amazing aquatic varieties. In this gallery also three exhibits have been reserved for the jellyfish.

Many people who visit this aquarium are in awe of these there enclosures of jellyfish. You will find a lot of videos on the internet of the jellyfish filmed in these enclosures. People are mesmerized by these elegantly floating creatures, and many lose track of time staring at them. All of the famous photo gallery websites on the internet, have photos of the Georgia Aquarium jellyfish. Many videos have been uploaded on YouTube, of awesome footage of these creatures.

Many of the Georgia Aquarium jellyfish are large in size and having vivid colors. The circumference of many of their bells must be reaching several meters. The length of their tentacles will be around 5 to 6 meters. The most spectacular sight is their billowing dome as they rise and fall in the water, giving the whole place a serene atmosphere. Clusters of them floating around in the lighting of the aquarium is a sight to watch, and not easily forgotten.
